It’s Still Better To Give Than To Receive

I’m sure we’ve all heard it said that it’s better to give than to receive. It’s true too!  I don’t think there’s a person in the world who’s ever seen a three year old child on Christmas morning that wouldn’t immediately agree. As true as it is, it’s interesting how little of that attitude appears to be on the hearts of folks these days.  It seems those who do give often do it out of guilt or a feeling of duty.  Jesus said we should give… happily, generously, and never to serve ulterior motives.  As we approach this Christmas season, let’s all try to remember the holiday is a celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Through the sacrifice of His life, He’s already given all that we need!  Why not share Him with a friend this holiday season?  They’ll be eternally grateful!

“Give, and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.  For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”  Jesus of Nazareth  (Luke 6:38)
