Can you hear Him knocking? Have you heard His voice? Throughout your life, Jesus has been standing right next to you, gently knocking on the door to heaven, beckoning you to open it. Still, many refuse! “If I open that door,” they surmise, “I’ll have to give up everything I love to do. I’ll lose my friends, I’ll be a freak… and nobody wants to be a freak!” The truth is, that nothing could be farther from the Truth! Jesus only asks that you open the door… once you and He become friends, then He’ll show you the lengths of His love. You’ll find that you’ll not lose friends, but in fact you’ll gain them. You’ll not lose things you love to do, but in fact, you’ll learn things you’ve never even dreamed of before, and you’ll love them even more. Jesus is knocking… every time you hear His voice, you can either open the door, or you can ignore Him. Refusing to listen doesn’t only hurt Jesus, but it hurts you, too! One day He’ll stop knocking, and then it will be too late.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelations 3:20
