I had a small revelation today — it was painful as usual…
Although I’m not as young as I used to be (who is?), I still try to keep myself in as good a shape as possible. After work today, I decided to run a few miles. I’m pretty good at fitting it in nearly every day. If I can’t do it at lunch, I’ll usually fit it in somewhere later. In fact, I can get quite irritable if someone (or some thing) gets in the way of my workout. Well, here I am about 30 minutes into my run when it hits me! Jim, you religiously block-out time to keep your body in physical condition — you’ve spent nearly three hours working-out this week alone! Why is it that you’ve only spent 15 minutes in prayer? If something gets in the way of your prayer life, you just go with the flow. But God help the person who keeps you from wearing out your running shoes! Shame on you!
Does this sound like anyone you know?
